Framed Igloo Head and Tree Head comic prints $125 (ONLY 14 IN STOCK!)

This is a very special item. These are one of a kind jammers. They will go on sale tomorrow Dec. 6th at 12noon EST.

Igloo Head and Tree Head debuted in Flight Comics #4 in 2006 with this story about a world of creatures with things living on their heads like trees, igloos, and park benches.  It is a tale of two buddies trying to make mountains out of molehills.  In 2007, it received a silver medal in Sequential Art from the Society of Illustrators.  These were the framed prints that hung in the Society of Illustrators: Book and Editorial exhibition in 2007.  They have lived in storage for awhile, but would very much like to move into your house and live on your walls with you!

UNSPOOLED POSTER

Hello, everyone!

I am honored to reveal the new poster I created for Paul Scheer and Amy Nicholson’s new podcast UNSPOOLED available on their podswag site right now!. The podcast in which Paul and Amy embark on the journey of watching every single film on AFi’s top 100 movies of all time list. Classics like Citizen Kane, Taxi Driver, and The Godfather, but also films i know i have never seen like It Happened One Night and Sullivan’s Travels. It is an incredibly enjoyable podcast especially if you dig movies. Paul and Amy uncover some deep cut facts about these films. It is the best.

I teamed up with those guys to come up with 100 smiling objects that represent each of the films on the list and assemble them into a comprehensive poster that will act as a sort of checklist that you can hang on your wall. You can check them off as you watch them. You can go buy this poster on the UNSPOOLED PODSWAG website. But you can also buy it in a bundle along with a specially made 100 SIDED DIE. You can roll that thing to figure out which film to watch next because it is fun watch at random.

Anyway, i am so happy to have been asked to do this because i love UNSPOOLED and i love those two people. Please enjoy!

DESIGNER CON Nov 16 - 18

Designer Con is this weekend Nov 16 - 18! It will be the first time i have attended this thing, so i am excited to see what it is all about. They have recently moved to Anaheim, so it will be new to most people i suppose.

I will be at TABLE #2016 with some new things.

These new things will include the new Great Showdowns print called “The Jam”, the latest Pin Party pins, Sleepy The Goodnight Buddy, and Adventures in Drawing! I will also have copies of my new art book Splendid Life: The Art of Scott C. this time! i promise. I will have more Scott C journals and greeting card sets as well.  I will have all of this and more at TABLE #2016!

GREAT SHOWDOWN TIME!

My old friends at Gallery 1988 will be releasing a new set of Great Showdowns for you this Friday. I am very excited about this set, you guys. It is the GHIBLI SET! All little moments from the films of one of my favorite directors.

These will be editions of 150 and only sold as sets of 5 for $85. The set contains the showdowns “The Bowl”, “The Pilots”, “The Water Child”, The Broom”, and “The Bus”. They will go on sale Friday Nov. 9th @ 12 noon PST! These will only be sold at the Gallery 1988 shop! They will not be sold in theScottCShop.

It has been a wonderful three months of Showdowns prints in the Scott C Shop! Thank you so much for sticking with us as we have navigated the wild ride... we've been listening to your feedback and we have revamped how we are going to do these this time around. To make it easier for you to plan we will be releasing on the third Wednesday every month from here on in and we will be doing a small, 24 hour  open window release for each series.

They will only be available for 24 hours! So you will have to act fast, but you won’t need to stress as much as you usually do. The edition size will be determined by the number sold within the twenty-four hour period. By switching to the twenty-four hour run, we will have to print to order, so estimated ship dates will be four to six weeks after the close of sale.

BUT for the first 100 orders, i will be putting an extra very limited edition print into 20 random orders!

SLEEPY, THE GOODNIGHT BUDDY - Book Tour!

Sleepy the Goodnight Buddy will be out in stores all over the place on September 11th!  Written by the world renowned Drew Daywalt (of The Day the Crayons Quit fame) and with pictures by me (scott c).

Sleepy, the Goodnight Buddy is the story of a boy named Roderick who has a difficult time getting to sleep.  Difficult of his own choosing because he doesn't really want to go to bed.  So his parents get him a GOODNIGHT BUDDY named SLEEPY to help him get the heck to sleep.  Only problem is Sleepy is real annoying and keeps Roderick awake by being nuts.  I will not tell you what happens, but i will say that it is a wild story.  Drew wrote some super funny dialog.  I had a great time illustrating it.  Drew and I get along well with our JOKES.  

Drew and I are embarking on a book tour for this thing this weekend!  Starting with the reception at Gallery Nucleus in LA this Saturday, September 8th!  We will have snacks and reading and drawing time together.  It will be so fun. The show is already up, so you can go see it right now! Most of the SLEEPY artwork along with drawings from ADVENTURES IN DRAWING.  

From there we explore the country!  We will hit the following places, so please come see us in your town!!
