BIG TOYS at Legend of the Great Showdowns Exhibition

Alright, everyone! It is time to share with you the BIG SURPRISE from the LEGEND OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition this past weekend.

There are three fairly large resin figures standing on little podiums at the exhibition, based on some of the Great Showdowns paintings. We have released smaller figures with DKE Toys in the past, but nothing at this scale. We wanted to have some bigger characters in the gallery that people could hang out with and enjoy as if they were some pets standing there looking for attention. Each figure is about 20” high and hand painted by me. Dave Bondi sculpted all three of these characters on the computer based on some orthographic views I drew up. Very similar process to the video game characters I do with Double Fine! Crater 13 took these sculpts and manufactured them into real world creatures. He created 10 of each and I hand painted them with some help from Lyssa Dawns who paints all of my toys! Dov of course oversaw the entire process like a wise Grandfather.

I am incredibly proud of these guys. I hope you get the chance to go to the gallery to see them in person! There are still some available in the gallery if you would like one for yourself.

Exhibition ONLINE + 24 hour Tarantino Set Release

It has been a busy weekend, everyone! Thank you all for coming out to the opening! You can watch what happened that night and at the live painting the following day on my YouTube channel.

All of the artwork and merchandise is ONLINE right now at Gallery 1988.

The first big release, the Tarantino 24 hour timed release print set, went on sale yesterday and ends today at 11:59am PST, so go get that right now!

Next release is this Wednesday the 11th, KEANU COASTER SET!

Some of the other little items that went on sale at the show were lunchboxes, greeting cards, stickers and limited edition HAND PAINTED TOYS! More coming soon!

There will be a MYSTERY SHOWDOWNS contest that everyone can participate in. For the winner, I will paint a Great Showdown of their choice!

In fact, do not forget about the DAY AFTER the opening when i will paint this chosen Great Showdown LIVE at the Gallery starting at 1pm! Come join us in the gallery AGAIN or tune in to The Scott C Twitch Channel!

The LEGEND OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS Exhibition will open on March 6th at Gallery 1988 in LA with almost 300 original showdown paintings from the past 5 years! There will also be a bunch of other releases the night of the opening and throughout the month of March including prints, pins, figures, and other surprise things.

If you cannot join us in the gallery, do not fret because we will be broadcasting every event LIVE on my twitch channel (archived on my YouTube channel). You can also join the SCOTT C CLUBHOUSE on Discord to keep up with everything, chat with other pleasant people and join the drawing room for that drawing party!

We have a bunch of fun events planned throughout the month ending with the big closing party on the 28th of March. Some painting demos, drawing/pizza parties, even a wonderful evening of chats with Paul Scheer! THE GREAT GREAT SHOWDOWNS HUNT: Worldwide will kick off on March 16th on Slashfilm.com and run for 7 days! Original little paintings will be hidden around the world for you to find! New GREAT SHOWDOWNS Prints!

It is time for some new Great Showdowns prints for February!

This month’s prints will become available in the Scott C Shop this Wednesday, February 19th at 1pm EST! Please welcome into your homes: “The Infiltrators”, “The Space Creatures”, and “The Hill”. All available in the Scott C Shop.

This will be the usual timed release which means they will be on sale for just 24 hours. The edition size shall be determined by however many have sold in that 24 hour span of time. Sale ends Thursday at 1:30pm EST.

I am completely over the entire moon to announce this to you, everyone.

Mondo has created some of the most incredible movie posters that have ever blessed this earth. You probably already know and love them. They are also just wonderful buddies and I’ve wanted to do a poster with them for quite a long time. Every square inch of this movie inspired who I am today and the paintings and stories I create.  Every character in this film meant something to me, even the characters passing by in the background. I have always wanted to create a painting that paid homage to every one of those characters. I wanted to include every Cantina patron, every X Wing pilot and Jawa. The ships were all characters, so it was important that they were welcomed into this family. It became quite a party, this painting.  It is a place I have always wanted to live within.  It was a dream realized, my friends, and I invite you to join me in this world.

"Koala Kangaroo Hug" for Australia Wildlife Relief!

Alright, everyone. It is time for us to help the Australian wildlife survive these terrible fires.

In an effort to aide in the recovery efforts we will be offering up a two week limited run print of “Koala Kangaroo Hug” starting 1/23/20 and running until 2/6/20 with all of the profits going to Wires Wildlife Rescue and Wildlife Victoria .

In addition to this run of prints we are also auctioning off the original “Koala Kangaroo Hug” painting on ebay for 10 days starting 1/23/20 and ending 2/2/20. Please spread the word if you can!

Each signed print measures 8x8 Estimated shipping dates of four to six weeks.
