Great Showdown Print Release this Wednesday!

Hello, everyone! I hope you have been doing alright during this very trying time we are all experiencing together. We are holed up in our home with our little cat Lawrence who does not seem to notice what is happening at all.

The Great Showdowns are trucking along, wanting to bring you good feelings. It is that time of the month in which new Great Showdown prints present themselves to you in the hopes that they may come live with you in your homes.

This month’s timed edition prints will become available in the Scott C Shop this Wednesday, May 20th at 1pm EST! May i introduce you to: “THE COMPOSER”, “LOS LUCHADORES”, and “THE ENORMOUS PEACH”.

This will be the usual timed release which means they will be on sale for just 24 hours. The edition size shall be determined by however many have sold in that 24 hour span of time. Sale ends Thursday at 1:00pm EST.

MAY the 4th is a special day for fans of those adventures amongst the stars with all the dirty flying machines and swords of light. It is certainly one of my favorite worlds. I had the bedsheets. This year, we will all be celebrating in our homes around the world with our bedsheets and home things. But May the 4th will be with all of us.

So coming this May the 4th, we shall celebrate with 4 new Great Showdowns timed edition prints from 4 of these wonderful films. “The Masters”, “The Cold Beast”, “The Forest Planet”, and “The Little Belly Buddies” will all become available in The Scott C Shop @ 9am EST on Monday, May the 4th!

What's going on with the Scott C Shop

Hello, everyone!

I hope you are all staying safe and cozy inside your houses and keeping yourselves occupied with home activities.

I just wanted to give a little update about what's going on at the Scott C Shop. The state of MA implemented a 2 week lockdown starting 3/24. We currently have regular access to about 90% of the store's inventory and will be shipping that out from Melissa’s bunker 1-2 times a week. (Melissa runs the shop on her own and we should give her ALL THE PRAISES.)

Unfortunately, we had to leave many of our larger prints behind at the warehouse where we have limited access. Essentially any print larger than 8.5 x 11 had to stay behind. These will be shipped out once a week.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we navigate this ever changing landscape.

In other news, the LEGEND OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition at Gallery 1988 ends this Saturday, March 28th. I know things are rough out in the world right now. This is the time for us to come together and support each other. My heart goes out to everyone effected by these shutdowns and please keep taking care of yourselves. While my wife and i are in lockdown, I am planning on posting activity pages for everyone these upcoming weeks and doing some drawing time livestream hangouts and storytimes as much as i can. I will post these on my Twitch and YoutTube channels and keep you posted on my Twitter and Instagram. We will definitely gather on the 21st for the virtual Drawing/Pizza party.

I know many things have been cancelled, so I want to still give you the chance to get these prints. We are going to make the new Great Showdowns prints available to you this Wednesday, March 18th at 1pm EST along with the pins that were released this past weekend. “Flowers and the Bear”, “The Horns”, “The Investigation”, and “The Castle” will be waiting to join you in your homes. What is happening with THE LEGEND OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS?

Hello, everyone!

I know that you are all staying safe and taking care of each other right now. In lieu of all that is happening in the world, we have decided to cancel the rest of the in-gallery events planned for the LEGEND OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition. This includes POSTPONING the Great Great Showdowns Hunt the was scheduled to start this Monday around the world. But the hunt SHALL RETURN! The little paintings are all waiting patiently in your countries and towns to hide for you, but they shall do so when times are pleasant and we are all feeling much better! Hopefully sooner rather than later! I will let you all know when this will happen once again.

All the the releases will still be happening, including any surprise releases we have planned.

HOWEVER, I will still be having the drawing/pizza party, but instead of the in-gallery experience, we will gather in the virtual Scott C Clubhouse and Twitch channel! We can all make our own pizzas in our quarantined houses and have virtual good times with drawing challenges with one another! That will happen on Saturday, March 21st at 6pm PST! We will draw famous people and post them in the Drawing Room in the Clubhouse on Discord. It will be a fun way to hang out during this isolating time! Heck, maybe we will have some other surprise virtual hangouts!

The next big release happens at 12 noon PST today in the Gallery 1988 shop! The TURTLE TOY. The next drop will be next Wednesday March 18th with the prints in The Scott C Shop! Please check out our updated calendar!

BIG TOYS at Legend of the Great Showdowns Exhibition

Alright, everyone! It is time to share with you the BIG SURPRISE from the LEGEND OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition this past weekend.

There are three fairly large resin figures standing on little podiums at the exhibition, based on some of the Great Showdowns paintings. We have released smaller figures with DKE Toys in the past, but nothing at this scale. We wanted to have some bigger characters in the gallery that people could hang out with and enjoy as if they were some pets standing there looking for attention. Each figure is about 20” high and hand painted by me. Dave Bondi sculpted all three of these characters on the computer based on some orthographic views I drew up. Very similar process to the video game characters I do with Double Fine! Crater 13 took these sculpts and manufactured them into real world creatures. He created 10 of each and I hand painted them with some help from Lyssa Dawns who paints all of my toys! Dov of course oversaw the entire process like a wise Grandfather.

I am incredibly proud of these guys. I hope you get the chance to go to the gallery to see them in person! There are still some available in the gallery if you would like one for yourself.

Exhibition ONLINE + 24 hour Tarantino Set Release

It has been a busy weekend, everyone! Thank you all for coming out to the opening! You can watch what happened that night and at the live painting the following day on my YouTube channel.

All of the artwork and merchandise is ONLINE right now at Gallery 1988.

The first big release, the Tarantino 24 hour timed release print set, went on sale yesterday and ends today at 11:59am PST, so go get that right now!
