Designer Con opens this FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th, but this year It will be entirely ONLINE! There is also a theme to this year’s Designer Con inspired by perhaps the most famous time travel film of our generation.

35th Anniversary Back to the Future Art Show.
Over 30 DKE artists create Back to the Future themed action figures!
November 13 - 15, 2020
Every year DesignerCon organizes events and aesthetics around an important pop-culture theme. For this edition of DCON, the expo celebrates the 35th anniversary of Back to the Future—a franchise more timely than ever—and will be honoring the iconic films with a fan art show, curated by Carmen “Jane Dope” Acosta (@janedopeness). The exhibition will be held at Art Share LA (@artshare_la) a non-profit arts organization in DTLA, and livestreamed to DCON attendees. DKE Toys was asked to curate a selection of hand made action figure editions to be included in the main art show. Over 30 artists created editions of 10 pieces each.

I have painted the 1,000th GREAT SHOWDOWN!

I cannot believe it.

Thank you for supporting the Showdowns through these many years! I enjoy your feedback and am always excited to hear suggestions for films that you love. I hope to get to them! I very much enjoy painting these and have no plans to stop.

I should also mention the importance of this particular film for me. It was one of the major influences in the visual design for Psychonauts from Double Fine Productions. We attempted to achieve that stop motion puppet style for the game early on in the process. I still love the movie very much.

Halloween Great Showdown Print Release!

October has arrived and brought with it 5 newly haunted Great Showdowns timed edition prints to our doorsteps! But do not be afraid! They would just like to come in and get cozy and drink some warm beverages with you.

This Wednesday, October 21st at 1pm EST, the Scott C Shop shall welcome these 5 spooky little prints: "THE VERY LARGE PUMPKIN”, “THE PAINTING IN THE HOUSE”, “THE PUMPKIN MASK”, “THE ROTTEN CLOWNS”, and “THE SKELETONS”.

This will be the usual timed release which means the prints will be on sale for just 24 hours. The edition size shall be determined by however many have sold in that 24 hour span of time. The sale ends Thursday at 1:00pm EST.

This will also be your last chance to get the “Treasure Below The Docks” prints and collection! That sale also ends Thursday at 1pm EST.

The TINY CON New Releases!

Here are the Tiny Con new releases!

Everything will go on sale at 10am PST in the Scott C Shop! The pins, stickers, and greeting cards will be open edition and the prints will be limited edition except for the Great Showdowns prints which will be the usual timed edition prints. Those will be for sale from July 22nd @ 10am PST to July 26th @ 10am PST and the edition size will be determined by how many sell in that timeframe.

The NEW GREAT SHOWDOWNS figure set will go on sale at 5pm PST over at DKE Toys. They will be $100 with an edition of 50. Those will NOT be in the Scott C Shop. I will be hanging out with DKE for their ongoing online event on Friday at 1pm PST for some chats. So tune in to that.

I will be posting giveaways on Instagram every morning at 9am PST. Comment on those for a chance to win that stuff.
