January Great Showdowns release this Wednesday!

Hello, everyone!

We have made it to the year 2021! I am happy to be here with you. I hope you are all taking good care of yourselves.

Let us start the fresh new year with some Great Showdowns prints!

This Wednesday, January 20th at 1pm EST, the Scott C Shop shall welcome these 4 hopeful little prints: “THE MACHINE”, “THOSE WHO CHOOSE WISELY” , “THE STUDENTS OF ROCK”, and “THE DEER”.

This Wednesday is a special day because there is also another very important event happening in the form of an INAUGURATION. We are celebrating with a slightly longer timed release. This month, the showdown prints will be on sale for 48 hours. The edition size shall be determined by however many prints have sold in that 48-hour span of time. The sale ends Friday at 1:00pm EST.

Great Showdowns Holiday Toy Release Tomorrow!

We have a very special limited edition Great Showdowns Holiday toy set coming tomorrow to Gallery 1988!

Two hand-cast and hand-painted resin figures on each card featuring Scott C’s signature and numbered out of 100.

December Updates!

Hello, everyone!

I hope you have been doing well and staying safe in these cold months. I want to thank you so much for all of your support this year. I am incredibly grateful and wish for the best for all of you in 2021. I have some updates for you on the state of things in the Scott C Shop.

There will be no December Great Showdowns print release. We will see you in January for all new Great Showdowns prints! Feel free to send me requests on showdowns you would love to see as prints!

Here are some updates on current orders from the Scott C Shop:

• If you have emailed us and feel as though you have not received a reply please check your spam filters. If you have not done so already make sure TheScottCShop.com is on your list of safe e-mail senders.

• We are aware that some posters shipped on 11/22 still have not been delivered. We have been working with the USPS to locate these missing items. If you have not received your order and have not already done so, please drop the shop an email with your order number.

• The Treasure Below the Docks pin sets just arrived and those orders will go out today.

• Sadly, we had to have the Best Friends Treasure pint glass reprinted, so they are still a couple of weeks out.

• All puzzle orders containing non pre-ordered items will be picked up by the USPS on Thursday.

• November's Great Showdowns will start shipping Thursday 12/10 and should finish up Tuesday of next week.

Prints will be released in the shop hourly starting at 10:00 AM EST and running throughout the day until 6:00 PM EST. Titles and quantities will not be pre-announced. Special Designer Con Great Showdowns figure set!

Designer Con opens this FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th, but this year It will be entirely ONLINE! There is also a theme to this year’s Designer Con inspired by perhaps the most famous time travel film of our generation.

35th Anniversary Back to the Future Art Show.
Over 30 DKE artists create Back to the Future themed action figures!
November 13 - 15, 2020
Every year DesignerCon organizes events and aesthetics around an important pop-culture theme. For this edition of DCON, the expo celebrates the 35th anniversary of Back to the Future—a franchise more timely than ever—and will be honoring the iconic films with a fan art show, curated by Carmen “Jane Dope” Acosta (@janedopeness). The exhibition will be held at Art Share LA (@artshare_la) a non-profit arts organization in DTLA, and livestreamed to DCON attendees. DKE Toys was asked to curate a selection of hand made action figure editions to be included in the main art show. Over 30 artists created editions of 10 pieces each.

I have painted the 1,000th GREAT SHOWDOWN!

I cannot believe it.

Thank you for supporting the Showdowns through these many years! I enjoy your feedback and am always excited to hear suggestions for films that you love. I hope to get to them! I very much enjoy painting these and have no plans to stop.

I should also mention the importance of this particular film for me. It was one of the major influences in the visual design for Psychonauts from Double Fine Productions. We attempted to achieve that stop motion puppet style for the game early on in the process. I still love the movie very much.
