This hitman just can’t get out of the game. Only this duel will get him out now. Where did they meet to figure out the rules for this duel?

What is happening: I will post some little paintings of characters from popular film scenes from March 9th through 16th. These paintings shall be placed into envelopes and hidden somewhere at the locations in which these scenes were filmed. This could happen in your town!

The first person to find these paintings shall keep them as a gift from me! I only ask that you post a picture of the found painting in your possession, so I can congratulate you in front of the world. Post it on twitter or instagram or email me. LET THE HUNT COMMENCE!

I am incredibly honored and excited to have the latest big Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Great Showdown revealed on io9! A wonderful little write up by Germain Lussier along with a process video!

And as a special surprise, please enjoy the photograph of my first grade spider-man costume that my Mom made.

Spider-Man has been hugely important to me since I was a very small child and I still very much enjoy painting Spider-People as much as i can. Especially a bunch of Spider-Mans and Womans.

March Great Showdowns Coming This Saturday!!

RISE OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS is this Friday!  And along with the celebration, we are moving up the March timed release to start the day after the show opening.

This Sunday is the OSCARS, so we are celebrating with this month's 4 new timed edition prints: "The Doll Community", "The Holiday Breakers",  "The Father of Destruction", and 
"The Rotten Husband". All will go live in the Scott C Shop Saturday, March, 9th @ 9:30 am PST.

This time release will run concurrently with The Rise Of The Great Showdowns opening at Gallery 1988. The edition size shall be determined by however many have sold in that span of time. Ends Saturday, March 16th at 6:30pm PST.

The GREAT GREAT SHOWDOWNS HUNT is Coming!

The RISE OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS exhibition is coming March 8th! That means the return of the GREAT GREAT SHOWDOWNS HUNT is almost upon us as well! What is the GREAT GREAT SHOWDOWNS HUNT exactly? I will tell you right now.

I will paint a portrait of some characters from a scene in a film and tuck it into an envelope with a little note. With the help of some friends, I will hide these envelopes at the locations at which these scenes were filmed. I will post about 2 to 6 a day with hints as to where they are hidden and you can go and find them and keep them forever! 30 cities in 8 countries. The hunt will run March 9th - 16th! I will post about them at scottc.com, Instagram, Twitter, and the rest of my socials. And also with Gallery 1988!!

So ready yourselves! I cannot wait! I love these hunts. And if you don’t find them, at least you get to visit some important film locations!

RISE OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS - Exhibition Schedule

Alright, everyone! RISE OF THE GREAT SHOWDOWNS is almost upon us!

It has been four years since we were all together celebrating the Great Showdowns. What a wild course of events we have endured together. Well, the time has come to gather once again! An exhibition of over 200 new showdown paintings will be on display along with a number of wonderful gatherings and releases with Gallery 1988 and the Scott C Shop! This will also include the return of the GREAT GREAT SHOWDOWNS HUNT, the daily scavenger hunt for paintings that will visit 32 cities around the world over the course of the 8 days of the exhibition.

Please join us for an opening party, closing party, LIVE showdown painting demo, Great Showdowns Talk and Q&A, swap meet, and a MYSTERY MOVIE NIGHT! More on all of these exciting things very soon.

February Great Showdown Prints Coming NEXT WEEK!
